Indoor plant watering should follow the condition of the soil rather than a fixed calendar. Push a finger a few centimetres into the potting mix and water only when the moisture level suits that plant.
Bright windows, warmer rooms and small pots may dry faster. Cooler rooms, low light and large containers usually dry more slowly. Always let excess water leave through drainage holes and empty standing water from decorative covers.
Yellow leaves do not automatically mean a plant needs more water. Check soil moisture, drainage and roots before changing the routine.
